However, it hangs during the reboot process. I'm wondering if it's because it can't recognize the external drive before Windows boots up. ( I don't expect an answer here on how to use True Image, as it's not the right forum). But I would like to know if Windows should recognize the external drive during the reboot

stack trace immediately before rebooting/switching off
It is constantly rebooting - even in safe mode! I'm looking for suggestions on how to break this loop, since I cannot get to a desktop in any mode. It is not a hardware/power supply problem. I installed another hard drive, installed XP Home fresh from the disk that came with the machine, and it runs fine.

Computer re-booting
My new system keeps rebooting (5 times last night) without any logs, console errors or kernel dump. I would be interested to know whether somebody else uses this machine. It does sound like hardware. I am not sure anymore whether this is a hardware or a software issue. Any suggestions on a bootable CD diagnostic

My computer has a problem of rebooting for no reason. I recently began buying parts for a new system. The first part I bought was a CD-RW. I added that to my "rebooting" system. Strangely, the rebooting stopped. I swapped the connector that my CD Rom was originally on and plugged that end into the CD-RW.
